I am currently pursuing my bachelor of science degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the James A. Clark School of Engineering. Prior to this, I studied at Salisbury University in a pre-transfer program that will allow me to earn my BS in Chemistry, as well. During my time at each school, I have worked as a tutor, specifically for chemistry. I developed learning materials for my students to use that brought the course alive to them in a more individualized way than was possible in the classroom. I also led class discussions that helped the students feel confident in their learning. I am able to tutor students in a variety of math courses, such as geometry, algebra, and calculus, to name a few. I am also able to tutor a range of science subjects, such as AP or Honors chemistry, materials science, physics, and others. I can tutor students in high school or in college. I can also assist students as they study for the math and science sections of standardized tests such as the ACT, among others. With my education and experience, I am confident as a tutor to all types of students. In my free time, I like snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking.
