Experience
I recently graduated from Elon University with a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and religious studies. While I was pursuing my college degree, I also worked as a tutor in my free time. With many years of tutoring experience under my belt, I've been able to help children, teenagers, and adults improve their study habits and overcome their academic obstacles. Some of my favorite subjects to tutor are elementary and middle school math, but I'm also able to help people with high school and college-level math, as well as SAT and ACT test prep. I love education and find it to be incredibly rewarding to have the opportunity to share my knowledge with people in the hopes of leaving a positive impact on their lives. Aside from tutoring, I've worked as a teacher's assistant for calculus courses, as well as an English teacher in Sri Lanka. My goal is to help students uncover their true potential while developing a passion for learning. I believe in taking a student-centered teaching approach that puts the pupil's needs first so that they're able to learn in a way that works best for them. When I'm not teaching, I like traveling abroad, playing sports, and watching television.
