I'm a PhD student in Applied Mathematics at University of Maryland, College Park. My research area is in Financial Engineering and Stochastic Process Modeling. My GPA is 4.0. I have been a Teaching Assistant for 3 years and my students usually gave me high evaluations in the end of each semester.
Experience
I have been tutoring for 2-3 years and have helped more than 30 students with different math subjects including; --Algebra --Calculus --Statistics/Probability --Trigonometry --Arithmetic --Differential Equations --Computer System Architecture etc. Most of my students got considerable improvements in their grades after tutoring (from B to A, from C to B/A, from F to C/B etc) and they felt much more confident about the subject. I enjoy inspiring students to think on their own and develop problem solving skills in their personal style. I think each student has his/her own way of learning things and I'm willing to adapt my tutoring strategy according to each student's personality.
