Experience
Hi there! I'm a Mathematics Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland, and I've been a mathematics tutor since high school. I've helped students ranging from 7th grade (pre-algebra) to Masters (real analysis) to learn mathematics effectively. I will challenge you or your student to understand the mathematics conceptually, rather than dryly memorizing formulas, and I will gently guide you or your student through unfamiliar concepts and methods. I'm happy to tutor students of any age in one-on-one sessions or small groups. As for my numbers, at the University of Chicago, I graduated with a 3.65 GPA with many advanced mathematics classes under my belt; and in high school, I scored a 5 on AP Calculus BC, 5 on AP Physics C, 5 on AP Economics, along with a few other 5s. I also participated in mathematics leagues in high school, scoring a 7 on the AIME competition.
