ExperienceFor 15 years I have worked as a tutor and teacher. My students have included youngsters in elementary school all the way to adult learners. As a tutor, I am a firm believer that the best approach is to create a highly customized development plan based on the student's learning style. A tutoring lesson will only be successful if the tutor knows the student's weaknesses, strengths, and needs. Then, once I know the precise nature of the student's current struggle to understand a subject, I can then take the complex concepts and present them in a more easily understood form. I can tutor a variety of subjects including Math (Algebra 1 and 2; Calculus 1, 2, and 3; Competition Math; Elementary Math; Geometry; Middle School Math; Multivariable Calculus; Pre-Calculus; and Trigonometry), Science (Astronomy, Chemistry, and Physics) and test preparation (GRE, PSAT, Mat, SAT, and ACT). I can also help with Essay Editing, Grammar and Mechanics, Reading, Writing, and Hebrew. I live in College Park, Maryland. In my spare time I enjoy reading, philosophy, literature, opera and, of course, Science and Math.
