My greatest expertise lies in teaching Chinese to English-Speakers, and in teaching English to Chinese-speakers. I spent the last year in China on a scholarship with the government. While there, I tutored both children and college students, so I am accustomed to teaching kids. I am extremely skilled in the social sciences, having won my university's award for best social sciences project in 2014, on Southeast Asian trade policies. I am also fully proficient in teaching English and Math, scoring well over 700 on both in my SAT's, as well as a perfect 800 in World History. In high school, I tutored fellow students in all subject areas. In college, I tutored fellow students in Chinese, Economics, History, and Political Science.
My scholarship obliges me to work for the government, but there is a lengthy process involved, which may take well over a year, so I am seeking employment for the next several months. I greatly enjoyed serving as a tutor in China, so I hope to be able to do the same here.
HobbiesI regularly read international news, particularly from Chinese-language sources.
Football and hockey fan.
Before college, I worked at an animal shelter, taking care of dogs.
